About Us

Cudlee Means "wild dog crossing" in Aboriginal, hence the chosen logo for the business.

The Cudlee Creek Restaurant, Tavern and Caravan Park is a many faceted business built on old fashioned service and above all a "family friendly" Tavern.

Historically the Tavern has only been licensed since 1980 but always known as a picnic ground dating back to the early 1900's, which surprisingly a large proportion of South Australians have a fond memory of visiting. In fact legend has it that the Gorge Kiosk kitchen considered it a very bad day for sale if they only cooked one thousand scones! An average day according to the locals was six thousand scones!

Today the complex has been rolled into one operating entity that can provide affordable accommodation (backpackers camping, family camping, long and short stay caravan park sites, cabin and short stay house B&B accommodation), affordable drink prices in the Tavern coupled with daily specials in the Restaurant completing the offer.
